Heard Sri G. Seena Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Sri G.Divya Theja, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue, appeared for respondents 1 to 4. ' SRS,J W.P.No.18310 of 2025 Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner purchased land of an extent of Ac. 1.12 cents, out of Ac.2.12 cents in Sy.No.395/2B of Mannepalli Village, under a registered sale deed dated 26.12.2007. The petitioner made an application seeking updation of the Record of Rights regarding the aforementioned extent. The name of the petitioner was updated only to an extent of Ac.0.30 cents, while the remaining Ac.0.82 cents was entered in the name of Sri K. Subba Reddy S/o Pitchi Reddy. The petitioner made an application dated 21.10.2021 in PGRA 202110221258 to respondent No.2. Respondent No.2 submitted a report to respondent No.1 vide Ex.PI. He would also submit that, despite the report submitted by respondent No.2, no order has been passed by respondent No.1 so far. 3. Sri G. Divya Theja, learned Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions, would submit that the competent authority in the present scenario is the Joint Collector, Prakasam District. Respondent No.1 will forward the report submitted by Respondent No.2 to the Joint Collector, and the Joint Collector will pass appropriate orders under Section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971 (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’). 4. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, without touching the merits of the matter, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of both the learned counsel, directing the learned respondent No.1 - Revenue Divisional Officer to forward the report submitted by respondent No.2 vide RCA/09/2022, dated 17.03.2023 (Ex.P1) to the Joint Collector, Prakasam District, within four (04) weeks. After receipt of the same, the learned Joint Collector shall follow the procedure as mandated under the Act and the Rules made there under, if necessary by issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the affected parties and update the Record of Rights in 5.
