IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A No. 171 of 2025 Gulab Oraon, aged about 25 years, son of Somra Oraon, resident of Village Parasima, P.O and P.S. Raidih, District Gumla, Jharkhand --- --- Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand --- --- Opp. Party --- CORAM: Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ambuj Nath --- For the Petitioner: Mr. Kripa Shankar Nanda, Advocate For the O.P-State: Mr. Praful Jojo, A.P.P. --- 03 / 28.02.2025 Heard the parties. 2. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. Case No. 164 of 2024 arising out of Raidih P.S. Case No. 02 of 2024 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 327 of 2024, for the offences registered under Section 364(A) of the I.P.C. and subsequently added Section 302, 201 read with Section 34 of the I.P.C., pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-II, Gumla. 3. Bail application of the petitioner was earlier permitted to be dismissed as withdrawn vide B.A. No. 7150 of 2024 3. On 25.01.2024, at about 06:00 a.m., son of the informant went missing. Thereafter, on 31.01.2024, ransom call was made to the informant for releasing his son. Subsequently, the son of the informant was found murdered. It appears that the petitioner has made extra judicial confession before one Kamal Oraon relating to his involvement in the present occurrence. 4. It was submitted that the Kamal Oraon has been examined in this case and he has been declared hostile. 5. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected, at this stage. Learned Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial. (Ambuj Nath, J) Ranjeet/ Uploaded
