This appeal is directed against the order dated 26.08.2025 passed in Miscellaneous Criminal Application No. 1590 of 2025 corresponding to C.I.D. P. S. Case No. 13 of 2025 by the learned Special Judge CID, Ranchi whereby and whereunder the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected. It has been alleged that in course of checking of vehicles, a person came out from a car and started running who was apprehended. On a search conducted inside the vehicle, arms and ammunitions were recovered and on the confession of Ravindra Ganjhu some arms and ammunitions were recovered from a forest area. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the appellant that the appellant was merely the co-driver of the vehicle having no connection with the arms and ammunitions allegedly recovered. He further submits that the wife of Ravindra Ganjhu who was also a passenger in the said vehicle has been granted bail by this court in -2- Criminal Appeal (DB) No. 1114 of 2025. He further submits that the appellant does not have any criminal antecedent and is in custody since 02.03.2025. Learned P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant. On consideration of the period of custody undergone by the appellant and the fact that one of the similarly situated co-accused person has been granted bail by us as noted above, we while setting aside the order dated 26.08.2025 passed in Miscellaneous Criminal Application No. 1590 of 2025 corresponding to C.I.D. P. S. Case No. 13 of 2025 by the learned Special Judge CID, Ranchi, direct that the appellant above named be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, CID, Ranchi in connection with C.I.D.
