Today when the petition is taken up for hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor has produced a copy of instructions of the Sub- Inspector of Police, Kanchili Police Station, wherein it is stated that on 11.02.2023, the case was compounded with a fine of Rs.4,500/- against the accused before the Lok Adalath, Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Sompeta. 3. In view of the fact that as the matter has been compounded with a fine of Rs.4,500/- against the accused, before Lok Adalat Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Sompeta, this Court is of the opinion that the cause in the criminal petition does not survive for further adjudication. 4. Accordingly, this criminal petition is dismissed as infructuous.
