This is an application praying for impleadment of Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya, Page No.# 2/2 the Commissioner, Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Guwahati, in the connected contempt petition, being Cont. Cas(C)/376/2024. It is contended that the applicants/petitioners has submitted a representation before the Commissioner, Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Guwahati, for implementation of the direction of this Court order dated 03.10.2023, passed in WP(C) No. 3185/2019. However, the said Commissioner, Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Guwahati, has willfully failed to comply with the order of this Court. Accordingly, the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner prays that the said Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya may be allowed to be impleaded as alleged contemnor in the connected Cont. Cas(C)/376/2024. Having considered that Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya was a Commissioner, Guwahati Municipal Corporation, when the applicant has submitted a representation for compliance of the order of this Court passed in WP(C) No. 3185/2019, however, alleged to have been not complied with the order of this Court, I am of the considered view that said Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya has to be impleaded in the connected contempt petition. Accordingly, Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya, Commissioner, Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Guwahati, is hereby allowed to be impleaded as alleged contemnor No. 2 in Cont. Cas(C)/376/2024. I.A. stands allowed and disposed of.
