The applicant as the writ petitioner has preferred the accompanying writ petition, W.P.[C] no. 5688/2025 seeking inter alia a direction to the opposite parties-respondents to correct the land records in respect of a plot of land measuring 3 Kathas 2 Lessas, covered by Patta no. 357 & Dag no. 1093 and 1095, situate at Tezpur Town, Mouza – Mahabhairab, District – Sonitpur, Assam [‘the subject-land’, for short] and to mutate his name therein. 3. The instant interlocutory application is preferred seeking impleadment of the following person – ‘Sri Prasanta Kumar Das, S/o Late Prafulla Chandra Das, R/o Hazarika Chuk Lalmati, Ward No. 1, Tezpur, PIN – 784001, District – Sonitpur, Assam’ - as party-respondent no. 4 in the accompanying writ petition, W.P.[C] no. 5688/2025 as the name of the proposed party-respondent no. 4 has been mutated in respect of the subject-land by virtue of an order passed in Misc.Case no. 176/2024-25. 4. Having regard to the projections made above, this Court is of the considered view that the presence of the proposed party-respondent is necessary for adjudication of the issues involved in the accompanying writ petition. Accordingly, the instant interlocutory application stands allowed. Page No.# 3/3 5. The learned counsel for the applicant-writ petitioner shall file an amended cause-title in terms of the Notification no. 79 dated 19.06.2023 before the Registry within 3 [three] working days from today and on submission of the amended Cause-Title, the Registry shall do the necessary corrections in the Cause-Title of the writ petition as well as in the CIS and thereafter, list the writ petition on 19.11.2025.
