With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the matter is heard at this stage.

Petitioner is serving as Junior Office Assistant (IT) in the office of Divisional Forest Officer, Pangi Forest Division, Killar, District Chamba. He has preferred a representation on 14.08.2024 (Annexure P-1) seeking

transfer from the aforesaid hard & tribal area to a station of his preference after completing more than the requisite tenure. The aforesaid representation was also forwarded by the Divisional Forest Officer, Pangi at Killar on 21.08.2024 to respondent No.3-Conservator of Forests, Chamba Circle, Chamba. Petitioner’s grievance is that the aforesaid representation has not been considered & decided by the competent authority and he is continuing to serve in the hard & tribal area till date.

Looking to the limited grievance of the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No.3/competent authority to consider and decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioner dated 14.08.2024 (Annexure P-1) in accordance with law and applicable transfer policy, within a period of three weeks from today. The decision so arrived at shall also be communicated to the petitioner.
The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
