ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:
“.... a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ order or direction declaring the action of the 5th respondent in not acting upon the complaint dated 03.06.2025 regarding illegal possession of cheque leaves 40 and 4 promissory notes by the 5th respondent as illegal and arbitrary and violation of Articles 19, 21 and 300 of Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to take necessary action against the 5th respondent for illegal possession of

the cheques promissory notes of the petitioner by considering the complaint dated 03.06.2025”
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the unofficial respondent has illegally kept 50 cheques belonging to the petitioner. A complaint has been lodged with the police for registration of a case against the unofficial respondent, but there has been no response from the police.
4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that the police have called both parties to the police station, and it came to light that the dispute between them is civil in nature. The police have advised both parties to approach appropriate court for taking further action in this matter.
5. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the Petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedies before appropriate forum in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs.
