The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Kuchai P.S. Case No.12 of 2024, corresponding to N.D.P.S. Case No.18 of 2024, MCRA No.722 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 8(b), 15(b), 17(b), 18 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the court of learned Principal District & Sessions Judge, Seraikella. It is alleged that 11 Kgs. of opium were recovered from the possession of the petitioner. It appears that quantum of seized contraband comes within the purview of commercial quantity. In view of the aforesaid fact, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail.
