This petition, purportedly in the public interest, has been filed, inter alia, seeking direction to the District Magistrate to delete the name of Kabristan in the land of Khasra No. 831, situated at Village Sahar, Tehsil Chhata, District Mathura and record the same as Pashuchar land. 2. Submissions have been made that the entry of Kabristan has been recorded based on Suit No. 9/1986 decided on 06.07.1987 by the Pargana Adhikari, Chhata, however the said record is not available and, therefore, as no such order exists, to the extent that the land has been recorded as Kabristan, deserves to be set aside. 3. We have considered the submissions made and perused the material available on record. 4. Undisputedly, the entry in the revenue record pertaining to the Kabristan exists since the year 1987. As to what prompted the petitioner to investigate the said aspect of the matter and come up with a plea seeking correction after passage of 37 years has not been disclosed in the petition. The filing of the petition in the nature of public interest, based on certain documents in relation to the revenue land and documents cannot be countenanced. 5. The petition is dismissed, leaving it open for the petitioner to take appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.
