3. The present petition under Sections 2(b)/12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India seeks the following prayers: -
“(a) initiate contempt proceedings against the contemnor/respondent i.e. Dr. Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi (GGSIPU) for wilfully disobeying the order dated 26.07.2024 passed by this Hon'ble Court in W.P.(Civil) No.7575/2022 titled as "Dr. Shaildesh Kumar Vs. Guru Gobind Singh Indraparastha University, through its Vice Chancellor & Anr." and/or (b) pass any other or further order which this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case as well as in the interest of justice.”
4. Vide order dated 26.07.2024, in W.P. (C) 7575/2022, following directions were passed: -
“In view of the innocuous prayer made on behalf of the petitioner and no objection on behalf of the respondents, learned counsel for This is a digitally signed order.
