By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner, who is working as Village Development Officer, has challenged the notices issued to him on 13.11.2024 and 14.11.2024 issued by respondent nos. 4 & 5 respectively regarding certain financial irregularities detected in the matter of development activities in Gram Panchayat concerned. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the similar show cause notice was issued to the Gram Pradhan who approached this Court vide Writ - C No. 6915 of 2025 which stood disposed of vide order dated 07.03.2025 with direction to the concerned respondent to decide the matter of show cause notice within a period of two weeks. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has also submitted reply to the show cause notices on 26.11.2024, which were brought on record as Annexure Nos. 8 & 9 respectively to this petition, however, no decision has been taken till date in the matter. Learned Standing Counsel submits that he has no objection in the event this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent nos. 4 & 5 to consider and decide the matter of show cause notice and pass appropriate order in the matter strictly in accordance with law. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent nos. 4 & 5 to consider the reply of the petitioner dated 26.11.2024 to the show cause notices dated 13.11.2024 and 14.11.2024 and decide the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
