LAISHRA M DHAKESH ORI DEVI Digitally signed by LAISHRAM DHAKESHORI DEVI Date: 2026.05.26 11:10:37 +05'30' WP(C) No. 578 of 2025 Page 2 [2] It has been jointly submitted by both the counsel appearing f`or the parties that the Project Director, PIU, EAP, PWD, Manipur issued a Notice Inviting BID “NIB” dated 05-02- 2025 inviting bids from the eligible contractors for executing the work “Improvement of Imphal Kangchup Tamenglong Road”. [3] It has also been submitted that subsequently the said NIB was cancelled by issuing a notice dated 01-08-2025 by the Project Director, PIU, EAP, PWD, Manipur. Having been aggrieved, the present petition has been file challenging the said notice dated 01-08-2025. It has further been submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the parties that during the pendency of this writ petition, the present writ petitioner as well as the respondent have amicably settled the dispute and come to an agreement. It has been also submitted by both the counsel appearing for the parties that the authorities have awarded the work order in favour of the present petitioner and that the agreement dated 20-01-2026 of the said contract work has not only been signed but the letter of commencement of the work have also been issued in favour of the petitioner. WP(C) No. 578 of 2025 Page 3 [4] In view of the above stated subsequent developments, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the present petition can be disposed of by quashing the impugned cancellation order dated 01-08-2025. [5] Mr. H. Debendra, learned senior counsel and Addl. AG fairly submitted that since the authorities have already issued the work order for executing the above mentioned contract work and an agreement has been duly signed and as the authorities has already issued the letter of commencement in favour of the petitioner, the impugned cancellation notice dated 01-08-2025 has been rendered meaningless and that the present petition can be disposed of by cancelling the said impugned notice. [6] In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition along with the connected application are hereby disposed of by cancelling the impugned notice dated 01-08-2025.
