Also heard Ms. U. Das as well as Shri S. Dutta, learned counsel for the respondents. The instant petition has been instituted complaining willful and deliberate disobedience against the order dated 26.07.2024 passed in WP(C)/1856/2023. When this matter had come up for consideration on earlier occasions, instructions were directed to be obtained. Both Ms. Das and Shri Dutta, learned counsel for the respondents have informed this Court that the amount in question has been released recently. In this regard, they have placed before this Court a copy of the communication dated 22.01.2026. Shri Gogoi, learned counsel for the petitioner has, however, informed that he has no instructions with regard to the aspect of receipt of such payment. Be that as it may, in view of the categorical statement supported by the recent order dated 22.01.2026, this Court is of the opinion that there may not be any further requirement to continue with this proceeding.
