The State of Andhra Pradesh and others ...Respondents ********** Advocate for Petitioner Sri B. Abhay Siddhanth Mootha representing Sri Phani Viswanath Challa Advocate for Respondents Learned G.P. for Services-I CORAM : THE CHIEF JUSTICE DHIRAJ SINGH THAKUR SRI JUSTICE RAVI CHEEMALAPATI DATE : 23rd July 2025 PC : The present petition has been filed purportedly in public interest challenging the ‘One Time Relaxation’ granted by the Power Transmission Companies for filling up the posts of Junior Accounts Officers by promotion instead of direct recruitment to the extent of 25% of the sanctioned cadre strength. 2. On a reading of paragraph No.2 of the petition, it appears that the petitioner himself is an aspirant for Government Services and therefore, in our opinion, the petition is being filed purportedly in public interest more to redress the personal grievance of the petitioner. We feel that the present petition may 2 not be maintainable and therefore, permit the petitioner to withdraw the present petition with liberty to avail the appropriate remedy. 3. Accordingly, the Writ Petition (PIL) is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to avail the appropriate remedy. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
