The Petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction quashing the rejection of the Petitioner’s nomination by the 7th Respondent as per Annexure-A dated 20.4.2025. b. Direct the Respondents to accept the Petitioner’s nomination and permit him to contest in the forthcoming election of the 5th Respondent Society; c. Award costs of this Petition; and d. Pass such other orders as this Hon’ble Corut may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case. 2. The election is scheduled on 27.4.2025, in two days’ time from now. In that view of the matter, the question of directing the respondents to consider the nomination of the Petitioner would not arise. If at all the Petitioner has any dispute with the Society, liberty is reserved to raise the same in terms of Section 70 of the KCS Act. In view of the fact that there was a stay of the cancellation of membership the Petitioner, the Petitioner would have to be - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC:17192 WP No. 12187 of 2025 permitted to vote in the election subject to the result of the proceedings in GRB.MD/31/2024-25.
