1. None appeared on behalf of petitioners.
2. This writ petition is pending for last more than two decades. It was dismissed for want of prosecution on 26.02.2018 and restored on 18.09.2023. On 16.04.2025 it was informed that this matter is not cognizable to this Bench, however, there is a report dated 22.04.2025 that it is cognizable to this Bench.
3. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for State-Respondents submits that petitioners have sought a mandamus that they may be considered eligible for the post of Assistant Teacher as per Advertisement dated 11.04.2002 and their candidature may not be rejected on ground that they obtained B.T.C. Certificate from Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh.
4. Learned Standing Counsel further submits that aforesaid advertisement was issued about more than two decades ago and process of recruitment has already been concluded. He further submits that name of Petitioner-1, Rajeshwar Prasad Sharma has been deleted vide order dated 01.04.2013, however, cause title is still not amended. Registry is directed to take steps in this regard.
5. In aforesaid circumstances, claim of petitioners to consider their candidature in pursuance of an advertisement issued in 2002
cannot be considered at this stage since, as referred above, selection process has already been concluded. This may be a reason that petitioners as well as their counsel have lost interest to pursue this case.
