1 2025:CGHC:23417 NAFR HIGH COURT OF CHHATTISGARH AT BILASPUR CRMP No. 1786 of 2025 Narayan Solwanshi S/o Bhukhau Ram Aged About 37 Years R/o Sanjay Nagar, Balod District Balod Chhattisgarh ... Petitioner versus State Of Chhattisgarh Through P.S. Balod, District Balod Chhattisgarh ... Respondent For Petitioner : Shri Hemant Gupta, Advocate. For Respondent/State : Shri Jitendra Shrivastava, G.A. Hon'ble Shri Ramesh Sinha , Chief Justice Order on Board 12/06/2025 1. Heard Shri Hemant Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Shri Jitendra Shrivastava, learned Government Advocate for respondent / State. 2. Instant petition has been filed seeking following prayer:- “It is therefore prayed that the Hon'ble court may kindly be please to allow the petition solicited the prayer & correct the GOURI MUDALIAR Digitally signed by GOURI MUDALIAR Date: 2025.06.17 18:12:41 +0530 2 Crime no in the bail orders dated 08-05-2025 passed in MCRC no 2128/2025, instead of crime no 60/2024 to crime по 60/2025, considering it, as a bonafide, inadvertent mistake, in the interest of justice.” 3. From perusal of the record, it transpires that in compliance of the order dated 29/05/2025 passed in MCRC No. 4164 of 2025 the comments have been sent by the trial court on 31/05/2025 and the present matter is also listed with MCRC No. 4164 of 2025. From perusal of the same, it is apparent that there has been an error committed in the bail rejection order of the present petitioner with respect to the case crime number which was in fact Crime No.60/2025 whereas in the bail rejection order, it was mentioned as Crime No.60/2024 and the trial court has regretted about the said inadvertent mistake in the order. The said error crept in the bail rejection order and consequently because of the same, in the bail application filed on behalf of the petitioner in MCRC No.2128/2025 and in the order dated 8/05/2025 passed in MCRC No.2128/2025 the said error has also crept in. The counsel for the petitioner could not give a satisfactory reply as to why the present CRMP was not filed at the first opportune of time when the case crime number was wrongly transcribed as Crime No.60/2024 in place of Crime No.60/2025 and the accused has been released in pursuance of order of this Court without getting the same corrected. 3 4. Instant petition has been filed for correction of crime number i.e. instead of Crime No.60/2024 it be corrected as Crime No.60/2025 in bail order dated 8/05/2025 passed by this Court in MCRC No.2128/2025. As the petitioner Narayan Solwanshi has already been enlarged on bail vide order dated 8/05/2025 passed in MCRC No.2128/2025, present petition for correction of crime number is dismissed. 5. The trial court is directed to be careful in future while transcribing the order. 6. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information. Sd/- (Ramesh Sinha) Chief Justice gouri
