.2025 Heard Mr. R. Sarma, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. J.K. Goswami, learned Addl. Senior Govt. Advocate, Assam for the State respondent Nos. 1 to 5.
2. The challenge made in this writ petition is to the order dated 02.04.2025, passed by the Director, Women and Child Development, Assam, Guwahati whereby the petitioner has been imposed punishment of censure and simultaneously transferred and posted the petitioner at the destitute and vigrant Home, Lakhimpur.
3. While issuing notice, this court has granted liberty to the petitioner to file representation before the respondent authority and upon receipt of the same, the respondent authority was directed to consider and dispose of the said representation.
4. Today, during the course of the hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the order dated 10.04.2025, passed by this Court, granting liberty to the petitioner to file representation before the Director, Women and Child Development, Assam, Guwahati, the petitioner has filed the representation on 11.04.20256 before the Director, Women and Child Development. Therefore, submits that writ petition may be disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities to consider and dispose of the said representation within a time frame.
5. Mr. J.K. Goswami, learned Addl. Senior Govt. Advocate, Assam for respondent Nos. 1 to 5 submits that he does not have any objection if the writ
Page No.# 3/3 petition is disposed of with a direction to the concerned respondent to dispose of the representation dated 11.04.2025.
6. Having considered the submissions of the learned counsel for the parties and as agreed to, I deem it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition directing the respondent authorities to consider and dispose of the representation dated 11.04.2025 filed by the petitioner as the matter relates to transfer and posting which the respondents would be the appropriate authority to consider the grievance of the petitioner.
7. Accordingly, the respondents, more particularly, the respondent No. 2, the Director, Women and Child Development, Assam, Uzanbazar, Guwahati- 1, District Kamrup (M), Assam is directed to consider and dispose of the representation dated 11.04.2025 filed by the petitioner within a period of 2 (two) weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
8. With the above directions and observations, the writ petition stands
disposed of.
