[2] By the present MC(WP(C)) No. 74 of 2026, the petitioner/ applicant prays for impleading ‘Professor Laishram Deben, Ex-Director, JNIMS’ as respondent no. 9 in the main writ petition being WP(C) No. 172 of 2025 as respondent no. 3 (incumbent Director of JNIMS) has denied the order dated 13.07.2021 issued by proposed respondent no. 9. In the circumstances, the proposed respondent no. 9 is a necessary party in the issue raised in the main writ petition. [3] Mr. Th. Sukumar, learned GA for the State respondents and Ms. Kh. Maria, learned counsel for the private respondent nos. 7 & 8 submit that this Court may pass appropriate order. [4] This Court has considered the averments in the application and is of the view that presence of the proposed respondent no. 9 will be required in deciding the issue in WP(C) No. 172 of 2025. Accordingly, MC(WP(C)) No. 74 of 2026 is allowed and ‘Professor Mr. Laishram Deben, Ex-Director, JNIMS, S/o Late L. Iboyaima Singh, aged about 67 years, R/o. [5] Registry is directed to do necessary incorporation in the main writ petition and petitioner is directed to file amended memo of parties in WP(C) No. 172 of 2025 by physical copy as well as online mode. [6] Issue notice to the newly impleaded respondent no. 9. [7] Petitioner is directed to take steps on the newly impleaded respondent no. 9 within 1(one) week and file affidavit of proof of service.
