The applicant who is in custody since 07.07.2025 has approached this Court for grant of regular bail in connection with Khunti P.S. Case No.143 of 2025, registered for the offence under Sections 25(1-b)a/ 26/ 35 of the Arms Act, pending in the court of learned C.J.M., Khunti. 2. It appears that the applicant has been apprehended with one country made loaded pistol with two live cartridges. 3. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the applicant(s) that complete set of F.I.R. alongwith its enclosure have been annexed with this bail application and there is no suppression on his/her part. 4. Innocence has been claimed and undertaking has been given for participation in the trial. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the applicant that he has been falsely implicated in this case. It has been further submitted that recovery of arms from his possession is planted. On the above basis prayer for bail has been made. 5. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the applicant and submitted that the applicant has criminal antecedents. 6. Considering the nature of crime and the materials available on record, I am not inclined to enlarge the applicant on bail, at this stage.
