BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE KARDAK ETE ORDER Date : 14.11.2025
Heard Mr. H. R. Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioners. 2. By filing this writ petition, the petitioners, 18 (eighteen) in numbers, have prayed for a direction to appoint them as Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles by declaring their results of the recruitment process pursuant to the advertisement dated 24.11.2023 by the Staff Selection Commission. 3.
It is projected by the petitioners that they had successfully completed the Computer Based Examination, Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, and Medical Examination. The Commission has declared the results on 13.12.2024, but the results of the petitioners have been withheld due to purported mismatch of biometric data. The petitioners claim that they have

Therefore, the petitioners have prayed for a direction to the respondent authorities to complete the verification process, declare their results and also for issuance of consequential appointment orders in the posts of Constable (GD) in the CAPFs, SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. 4. Ms. B. Sharma, learned Central Government Counsel for the respondents, by placing the copy of the instruction dated 16.10.2025, submits that insofar as petitioner No. 7 is concerned, his case has been forwarded to Staff Selection Commission for declaration of his result as he has been found qualified. As regards the remaining petitioners, their cases have been forwarded to the NCRB (CFPB), New Delhi, and the CFSL, Guwahati, for verification of thumb impressions, signatures and handwriting. 5. Having considered that the respondent authorities have already undertaken the process of verification and thereby forwarded the case of the qualified petitioner to the Staff Selection Commission for declaration of his result, and have also referred the cases of the remaining petitioners to the competent authorities at New Delhi and Guwahati for verification of their thumb impressions, signatures and handwriting, and as agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioners, I am of the considered view that the present petition can be disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities to complete the process of verification and take consequential steps for appointment. 6.
6. Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities to complete the process of verification and pass consequential orders based on such verification, including the declaration of the result of petitioner No. 7, who has already been found to be qualified, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 3 (three) months from today.
