The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Katkamdag P.S. Case No.140 of 2020, for the alleged offences registered under Sections 407 and 420 of IPC, pending in the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Hazaribag. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the name of the petitioner has come in the confessional statement of the co-accused and the recovery of rice has been made from the co- accused namely Amit Ekka, who has been granted anticipatory bail in ABA No.10941 of 2022. He then submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as disclosed in Para 12 of the petition. 4. Learned counsel for the State opposed the prayer and submits that the name of the petitioner has come in the confessionals statement of the co-accused. 5. In view of the above and considering that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and the person, on whose possession, the rice has been recovered has been granted anticipatory bail in ABA 2025:JHHC:28955 2 No.10941 of 2022, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6. Accordingly, the petitioner above named is directed to surrender before the learned Court within three weeks from the date of receipt of the order and on the event of his surrender / arrest, he shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Twenty-Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount of each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Hazaribag in connection with Katkamdag P.S. Case No.140 of 2020, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 482(2) of Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. 7.
