Hon’ble Shri Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey Judgment On Board Digitally signed by AJINKYA PANSARE Date: 2025.08.28 18:09:14 +0530 2 28-08-2025 1) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has not been extended the benefit of arrears of 7th Pay Scale and the benefit of Fourth Time Pay Scale, whereas he has completed 30 years of service on the post of Assistant Engineer under respondent No. 5. He further submits that petitioner has stood retired from service on 31.05.2023, thus prays for appropriate direction in this regard. 2) On the other hand, learned State counsel submits that service- book of petitioner is to be verified by the Office of Local Fund & Audit and service-book has already been forwarded to the said office. He further submits that decision with regard to benefit of arrears of 7th Pay Scale will be taken after verification of service- book of petitioner. 3) Heard. 4) Taking into consideration the fact that service-book of petitioner has not been verified by the Office of Local Fund & Audit through the office of Joint Director Urban Administration And Development, Regional Office At Bilaspur (C.G.), therefore, this petition is hereby being disposed of directing respondents No. 3 and 4 to take appropriate steps with regard to verification of service-book of petitioner strictly in accordance with law. It is expected that the entire exercise shall be completed by the authority(s) concerned within period of 90 days from today and thereafter, if petitioner is found eligible, payment of arrears of 7th Pay Scale and benefit of 3 Fourth Time Pay Scale applicable on engineers shall be extended to the petitioner at the earliest. 5) With the aforesaid direction(s), this petition stands disposed of.
