Barman, learned Junior Government Advocate for the State of Assam for the respondent nos. 1, 2, 3 & 4. It is noticed that an alternative remedy available to the petitioner under Rule 12[2] of the Assam Cattle Preservation Rules, 2022 read with Section 35[4] of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and Rule 4[1] of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals [Care and Maintenance of Case Property Animals] Rules, 2017. Mr. Gogoi, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner may be allowed to withdraw the writ petition in order to avail the above remedy.
