HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU Case: SWP No. 2522/2012 Pardeep Kumar and Ors. ..... Petitioner(s) Through :- None. Vs State of J&K and Ors. .....Respondent(s) Through :- Mr. Raman Sharma, AAG CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE WASIM SADIQ NARGAL, JUDGE ORDER 04.02.2025 Record reveals that last date of hearing in the instant petition was 14.10.2014 when the case was listed before this Court and since then, no effort was made on part of the petitioners to get the instant petition listed for almost 10 years. Today also, when the case was taken up, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that with the efflux of time, the instant petition has been rendered infructuous, as the petitioners through the medium of the instant petition is seeking a direction against the respondents to accord consideration to their regularization in terms of J&K Civil Services (Special Provision) Act, 2010, which relief at this stage cannot be granted, as the aforesaid Act stand repealed. This is precisely the reason that there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous along with all connected application(s). Interim direction, if any, shall stand vacated. (WASIM SADIQ NARGAL) JUDGE JAMMU 04.02.2025 Mihul Sr. No. 36
