A case has been registered against the petitioners for the offence under Sections 20(b)(ii)(B) read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic substances Act. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that on 23.12.2024 at 10.00am, on receipt of credible information regarding illegal possession and transportation of ganja, s.I of police, along with staff, reached Punnami Circle, Tirupati-Chennai highway road and found Al and A2 in possession Of 17 kgs of ganja. They were arrested and got remanded to judicial custody. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that major partofthe investigation l's completed except filing of charge sheet. 6. A perusal of the material available on record goesto showthatthe contraband that was allegedly seized from the possession of the Al and A2 is 17kgs which is non commercial quantity. The petitioners were .--.--- I \\ I 2 arrested on 23.12.202a and since then, the petitioners have been in judicial remand. lt appears that major part of the investigation has been completed except filing of charge sheet. 7. ln view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioners herein, on the followI'ng conditions. (i) The petitI'OnerS/Al and A2 herein shall be released on their executing a personal bond for Rs.10,000/-(Rupees ten thousand only) each with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Puttur; (ii) On release, the petitioners shall appear before the station House Offl'cer concerned once in a week i.e. on every sunday between 10.00 a.m. and 05.00 p.m., till filing of charge sheet. 8.
