Heard Sri Ambrish Chandra Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. 2. Present writ petition has been filed for following relief: "(i) Issue an order, direction or writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondent authorities to pay the petitioner his arrears of salaries for the period from 01.07.1986 to 02.12.1991 which comes to rupees 1,09,864/- along with interest at the rate of 14% per annum calculated from December 1991 till the date of payment of arrears of salaries to the petitioner within the period specified by this Hon'ble Court." 3. In pursuance of the earlier order dated 16th September, 2025, respondent nos. 2, 3 & 5 have filed their counter affidavit, in which it is stated that they have released Rs. 1,09,864/- and the same has been credited in the account of the petitioner. 4. In view of the averments made in the counter affidavit, nothing survives in this writ petition as the respondents have complied with the order and paid the amount. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner has disputed that though the petitioner was entitled for the said amount, but the respondents have deliberately not released within time and therefore, he is also entitled for interest on the said amount. 6. Considering the said submission, as the claim has already been settled Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Ambrish Chandra Pandey Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C. Kanhaiya Lal .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. And 3 Others .....Respondent(s) by the respondents and with regard to payment of interest for delayed payment, the respondents are directed to consider the claim as per rules. If petitioner is found entitled for interest, the same shall be released to him, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 7.
