The appellant, Oriental Insurance Company Limited, is represented by its duly authorized officials, namely, Mr. R. K. K. Sinha, Regional Manager, and R. C. Pathak, Manager. The claimant, namely, Monuj Kr. Doley @ Monuj Doley, is present in person along with his engaged counsel, Mr. M. Talukdar. It is submitted that the total awarded amount is Rs. 11,07,640/- (Rupees eleven lakhs seven thousand six hundred forty) only. After negotiation, both the parties have mutually agreed to settle the matter for a sum of Rs. 8,00,000/- Page No.# 3/3 (Rupees eight lakhs) only as a full and final settlement of the claim. Accordingly, the appellant/ Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. is hereby directed to deposit the amount of Rs. 8,00,000/- (Rupees eight lakhs) only before the Registry of this Court within 1 (one) month from the date of the order and the claimant, namely, Monuj Kr. Doley @ Monuj Doley, is permitted to withdraw the same on being proper verification and identification. Registry to refund the statutory deposit of Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) only to the appellant/Insurance Company. The appeal stands disposed of in terms above. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
