2. Petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. Case No. 240 of 2023 arising out of Dumri P.S. Case No. 16 of 2023 corresponding to G.R. No. 381 of 2023 for the offences registered under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and section 3 / 4 of Prevention of Witch Craft (Daain) Practices Act, pending in the court of learned Sessions Judge, Gumla.
3. On 19.05.2023, father of the Informant was murdered by unknown person inside his house.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been made accused only on the basis of suspicion. It was further submitted that trial is under progress and since last 11 months, only one witness has been examined.
5. Mr. Azeemuddin, learned A.P.P has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that on the basis of confession of the petitioner, wooden log which was used in the murder of the deceased was recovered.
6. In view of the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected.
Learned Trial Court shall expedite the trial.
