Also heard Mr. R.J Baruah, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. This is an application filed u/s 483 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for grant of bail to the petitioner namely, Sri. Shankar Kumar, who was Page No.# 2/2 arrested on 16.07.2025 in connection with Sessions Case No. 162/2025 u/s 366/376(2)(n) of the IPC (arising out of Dhekiajuli P.S Case No. 44/2022) pending in the Court of Ld. Sessions Judge, Sonitpur, Tezpur. 3. The allegations in the FIR dated 28.01.2022 is that the 17 years old daughter of the informant went missing and later, it came to be known the petitioner had taken her. The case was investigated during which the statement of the alleged victim girl was recorded and the same is available in the scanned case record received. In her statements she has stated about her initial love affair with the accused but, subsequently stated that he forcefully took her away and committed physical relationship upon her forcefully and later she came to know that the accused was already married with children. 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner has contended mainly on the length of detention since the date of arrest of the petitioner on 16.07.2025. Charges have been framed by the Ld. Trial Court u/s 366/370/376(2)(n) IPC. So far the informant has been examined but the victim girl has not been examined. 5. In the given facts and circumstances, the bail petition stands rejected at this stage. 6. As such, the instant bail petition stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
