Som, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that in so far as the grievance of the petitioner no. 1 is concerned, the grievance has been mitigated in the meantime. She has further submitted that the petitioner no. 2 has been evicted from the concerned place during the pendency of the writ petition and as such, the subject-matter of the writ petition, in so far as the petitioner no. 2 is concerned, has become infructuous. Mr. P.N. Goswami, learned Additional Advocate General, Assam has also endorsed the said submissions. Ms. Som, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that in view of the above developments, the petitioners are not pressing the writ petition.
