GP FOR HOME 3 The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer: “….to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of mandamus, declaring the action of the Respondents No.4 in summoning the petitioners to their police station without any registration of crime and threatening petitioners to settle the marital dispute by visiting the petitioners residence as illegal, arbitrary and amounts to abdication of statutory duties cast up on them and also violative of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the Respondents 2 to 4 not to interfere with the life and liberty of the Petitioners unless authorized by the law and also direct the Respondent No.2 to 3 to take stringent action against Respondent No.5 and their staff for threatening petitioners to settle the marital dispute by visiting the petitioners residence pass.…” 2. Heard Sri P.Venkata Mohana Rao, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri V.Farook, Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the police are calling the petitioners to the police station without registration of any crime and threatening the petitioners to settle the marital disputes. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader on written instructions would submit that the a case been registered against the petitioners in Cr.No.330 of 2025, for the offences punishable under section 85 r/w 3(5) of BNS & Section 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and the police visited the house of the petitioners for counselling. 4. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
