[2025:RJ-JP:16469] HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE FOR RAJASTHAN BENCH AT JAIPUR S.B. Civil Writ Petition No. 220/2025 Lalit Kumar Sharma S/o Jagdeesh Prasad Sharma, Aged About 30 Years, R/o Vpo Atari, Tehsil Nadbai, District Bharatpur, Rajasthan. ----Petitioner Versus 1. State Of Rajasthan, Through The Principal Secretary Medical And Health Department, Secretariat, Jaipur. 2. The Director, State Health And Family Welfare Institution, Jaipur. 3. The Director (Non-Gazette), Medical And Health Services, Rajasthan, Jaipur. ----Respondents For Petitioner(s) : Mr. Ram Pratap Saini For Respondent(s) : Mr. Archit Bohra, AGC HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SUDESH BANSAL Order 17/04/2025 1. Heard learned counsel for both parties and perused the record. 2. By means of instant writ petition, the petitioner claimed for grant of 25 bonus marks for the working experience gained during the Covid period and also prayed for grant of appointment on the post of Nursing Officer in the EWS Category in pursuance of the Advertisement dated 05.05.2023. 3. Learned Additional Government Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents states that the petitioner has been given 20 bonus marks. It has also been submitted that as per the order dated 25.04.2023 issued by the Medical and Health Department, [2025:RJ-JP:16469] (2 of 2) [CW-220/2025] Government of Rajasthan, criteria for awarding bonus marks is as under:- lafonk@vko';d vLFkkbZ vk/kkj ij dk;Z vof/k Ckksul vad 1- nks o"kZ ls de 15 2- nks o"kZ ;k blls vf/kd fdUrq rhu o"kZ ls de 20 3- rhu o"kZ ;k blls vf/kd 30 4. Undisputedly, the petitioner has rendered services for a period of less than three years, hence, he has been awarded 20 bonus marks. The claim of the petitioner for 25 bonus marks is misplaced as it does not fall in the criteria of awarding bonus marks as prescribed under the order dated 25.04.2023. 5. Since, the petitioner has been awarded 20 bonus marks, but thereafter he secured less marks i.e. 70.090% than the cut off marks in the EWS category i.e. 71.838%. Hence, the prayer of the petitioner for granting appointment on the post of Nursing Officer is devoid of merits and same is hereby rejected. 6. Accordingly, the present writ petition is dismissed. 7. The interim order dated 06.02.2025 stands vacated. 8. All pending application(s), if any, stand(s) disposed of. (SUDESH BANSAL),J RONAK JAIMAN/450
