1. This application has been filed seeking correction of a typographical error that has crept into our Order dated 21.07.2025.
2. By the said order, we had disposed of the petition in terms of the judgment of this Court in Municipal Corporation of Delhi & Another v. Dorothy John, 2025 SCC OnLine Del 4910. In the said
judgment, interest at the rate of 6% per annum had been granted in case the petitioner makes the payment of the retiral benefits to the respondent within a period of two weeks; failing which, it was provided that interest at the rate of 12% per annum would be payable by the petitioner.
3. Due to an inadvertent error in our Order dated 21.07.2025, it has been mentioned that interest at the rate of 8% per annum shall be payable from the date of entitlement of the retiral benefits to the This is a digitally signed order. respondent, in case the payment is made within a period of two weeks from the date of the said order.
4. As none appears for the respondent despite advance notice of this application, let notice of this application be issued to the respondent, including through the learned counsel, returnable on 19th September, 2025.
5. In the meantime, the petitioner shall make the payment to the respondent by considering the rate of interest in paragraph 7(1) of our
order to be 6% per annum.
6. Given that there is a typographical error in our order dated 21.07.2025, the time for making the payment in terms of the direction in paragraph 7(1) shall stand extended by a further period of one week.
