SK, learned counsel for the petitioner, who by means of this application had alleged wilful and deliberate disobedience of an order dated 18.09.2025 passed in WP(C)/735/2025. By the aforesaid order, the suspension of the retail licence was set aside and the same was directed to be made operational. Notice in this petition was issued on 18.12.2025 and today Shri S.R. Baruah, learned counsel had entered appearance on behalf of the respondent no. 3. Shri G. Anthony, learned counsel appearing on instructions of Shri D. Nath, learned counsel is present for the respondent no.1. Shri Baruah, the learned counsel has placed before this Court that in compliance of the order passed by this Court on 18.09.2025, an order dated 15.12.2025 has been issued whereby the retail licence of the petitioner has been restored and the beneficiaries of the Fair Price Shop of the petitioner which was tagged with the Fair Price Shop of Shri Alok Das have been withdrawn. Shri SK, the learned counsel has however submitted that he does not have any instructions in this regard. Be that as it may, in view of the order dated 15.12.2025 passed by the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District, this Court is of the opinion that Page No.# 3/3 there is no requirement of proceeding further in this contempt petition as the order clearly appears to have been complied with.
