Learned State Counsel submits that petitioner had sought a direction either to shift him to Central Jail in Sitarganj or to Pauri Jail in Garhwal Division or Almora Jail in Kumaon Division. Learned State Counsel, on instructions, submits that petitioner has been shifted to District Jail Almora vide order dated 12.01.2024 passed by Assistant Inspector General (Prison). 5. Since petitioner has been shifted to Almora Jail, as prayed by petitioner, therefore, the relief claimed by petitioner does not survive. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
