Also heard Mr. C.K.S Baruah, learned Government Advocate, Assam for the respondents no. 1, 2 & 3 and Mr. D.P. Chaliha, learned counsel for the respondent No. 4. 2. The present writ petition has been filed with a limited prayer for a direction to the respondent authority to release her compassionate family pension or to consider her appointment on compassionate ground. 3. The case of the petitioner is that the mother of the petitioner was initially joined as Muster Roll worker in the year 1995 in the Office of the Goalpara Municipal Board. Subsequently, she was regularised as LDC in the same office in the year 1995. Suddenly, due to ill health, the mother of the petitioner was expired on 13.03.2023. After the demise of her mother, the petitioner submitted representations dated 25.08.2023 and 20.08.2024 before the Chairman, Page No.# 3/3 Goalpara Municipal Board praying for appointment on compassionate ground or to provide the compassionate family pension. However, the same has not been considered till date. Being aggrieved, the petitioner is before this Court. 4. The learned Government Advocate has expressed no objection to the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner to the prayer for disposal of the representations, submitted by the petitioner to the Chairman, Goalpara Municipal Board. 5. Accordingly, the Writ petition stands disposed in view of the limited prayer for a direction to the competent authority to dispose of the representations without expressing any view of the merits of the case. 6. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is disposed with a direction to the competent authority more particularly respondents No. 5 & 6 to examine the claims of the petitioner and if the claims are found to be genuine then the same shall be considered and disposed of within a period of 30 (thirty) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
