GUNESHWAR SHARMA ORDER 16.12.2025 [1] Heard Ms. R. Solem, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Th. Sukumar, learned GA for the State respondents. [2] The petitioner who is a Hd/Man of Chakama Village under Yairipok P.S. is aggrieved by 2(two) summon letters dated 28.08.2019 and 02.12.2019 issued by Range Forest Officer, Thoubal calling for explanation from him. It is alleged that the petitioner is an accused of illegal felling of trees and excavation of hill earth from the Gwarok Reserve Forest at Malom Jaliyanbi by order dated 27.08.2019 and village of the petitioner has been set apart by the State vide order dated 14.08.1979. It is also stated that the petitioner has submitted replies dated 10.09.2019 and 16.12.2019 to the show cause notices. It is submitted that both the representations are still pending. [3] The learned GA for the State respondents submits that the State respondents may be given some time to decide on the replies submitted by the petitioner to the show cause. [4] The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner may be given an opportunity of being heard physically and liberty to submit fresh ground during the course of hearing.
