GUNESHWAR SHARMA Order 03.11.2025 [1] Present Mr. Mayonkui Ngalung, learned counsel along with Mr. Sampion Hungyo, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. B. Karishma Sharma, learned counsel for the respondent. [2] Vide mediation proceeding dated 29.10.2025, the parties have mutually settled their dispute and decided to close all the pending cases. The mediation proceeding is reproduced as: “SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT Imphal, 29th October, 2025 Present both parties including the party seeking impleadment vide MC(WP(C) No. 256 of 2025 are present. All the parties mutually agreed as follows: 1. The land records in respect of Dag Nos. 1113, 1114 and 1115 of Village No. 49-Kangoi were verified after having duly indentified by the office of AS & SO-VII, DSLR, Manipur and the same is closed as Annexure A/1. 2. The boundary dispute between LN Rengchongkhup Aimol (petitioner in WP(C) No. 59 of 2025) and ST Soneireng (petitioner in MC(WP(C) No. 256 of 2025) is agreed to settle in terms of the existing Village Map 1988-89 prepared by authority. 3. That in view of the above, the petitioner and respondents amicably agreed that the said MC(WP(C) No. 256 of 2025 with WP(C) No. 59 of 2025 pending before the Hon’ble High Court of Manipur shall be disposed of in terms of the settlement agreement. Also the Demarcation case No. 1/AS & SO/VII/K/2024, now pending before the AS & SO – VII shall stand closed. 4. The AS & SO – VII shall make necessary correction of land records in view of the verification report mentioned above.” [3] It is submitted that writ petition may be closed in terms of the mediation proceeding.
