Sarma, learned Junior Government Advocate for the State respondents. 2. The petitioner is aggrieved that in response to the advertisement issued by the Women and Child Development Department for inviting applications for appointment to the post of Anganwadi Worker/Helper, the petitioner submitted her particulars. However, her name appeared in the reject list at Serial No.76. The reasons showed that she is outside the survey area. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that she is a permanent resident of the area of Oxchek Pathar No.2 and therefore, she cannot be considered to be outside the survey area for the Anganwadi Centre of Oxchek Pathar No.2 in the district of Hojai, Assam. 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner has placed before the Court the voter id which shows that she is a resident of Oxchek Pathar No.2, Murajhar, Dobaka, Hojai, Assam, 782439. 5. Notice in the matter was issued on 19.01.2026. Page No.# 3/4 6. Ms. U. Sarma, learned Junior Government Advocate submits that she has received the instructions and would like to bring on record. However, on a query made by the Court she submits that the petitioner has been rejected because her name is not included in the Survey Register maintained for the said Anganwadi Centre, namely Oxchek Pathar No.2 Anganwadi Centre in the district of Hojai, Assam. She however, does not have any instructions as to how the survey was conducted and when was conducted. 7. The learned counsel for the petitioner on the other hand submits that although the reject list is declared, as on date the final select list has not yet been published. 8. Under such circumstances, the Court is of the considered view that ends of justice will be met, if the writ petition at this stage is disposed of with a specific direction to the CDPO to examine the claims of the writ petitioner that she is a permanent resident of the area of Oxchek Pathar No.2, Murajhar, Daboka, Hojai, Assam and therefore, she is within the survey area of Oxchek Pathar No.2 Anganwadi Centre and thereby upon due verification, if the claims of the writ petitioner are found to be correct then her name should be taken out from the reject list and be considered for final selection and appointment to the said post in the Oxchek Pathar No.2 Anganwadi Centre, Hojai, Assam. 9. Let this exercise be completed within two weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order. The application be filed within one week from today, before the CDPO accompanied by certified copy of this order and the copy of the writ petition along with all enclosures, thereafter, within further Page No.# 4/4 period of two weeks the CDPO will examine and pass appropriate order. 10.
