1. Heard Mr. A. Z. Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner and also heard Mr. P.S. Lahkar, learned Addl. P.P. for the State.
2. This application under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, have been filed by the petitioners, namely, Tara Miah, seeking pre-arrest bail in connection with
Page No.# 2/2 Sukchar P.S. Case No.56/2025 (corresponding G.R. No. 335/2025) under Section 303(2)/325/3(5) of BNS, 2023 R/W Section 11(1) Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
3. The allegation against the present petitioner is that he along with two other accused persons who have already been arrested had stolen the horse of the informant and mixed it with beef and sold it in the market after slaughtering the horse.
4. Charge-sheet in the case has been submitted.
5. On perusal of the TCR, there appears to be sufficient material implicating the petitioner and having regard to the nature of the allegations the present is not considered to be a fit case for grant of pre-arrest bail.
6. Consequently, the prayer for pre-arrest bail is rejected and petition stands dismissed.
