The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is 2. arraigned as Accused No.8 in Crime No.75 of 2023 on the file of Kurnool III Town Police Station, Kurnool District, for the alleged offences under Sections 447, 427, 506 and 509 r/w 34 of IPC. It is submitted that the Superintendent of Police, Kurnool, vide proceedings dated 17.04.2025 had communicated to the Superintendent Government General Hospital, Kurnool, that Crime No.75 of 2023 was treated as Civil in nature and a final report was filed in the Judicial First Class Magistrate (P&E), Kurnool and issued notice to the de facto complainant was also issued. It is submitted that the petitioner was appointed on a temporary basis, 3. on compassionate grounds, to a Class-IV post after his father passed away while in service. It is also submittedthat, though the final report has been filed the petitioner's employer is citing the pendency of the case as an objection to any further career progression of the petitioner. The learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that notice was issued 4. to the de facto complainant, and it is not known whether any protest petition has been filed or not. 3 5. Be that as it may, since the police have closed the case treating it as civil in nature, Crime No.75 of 2023 on the file of Kurnool III Town Police Station, Kurnool District, is hereby quashed, insofar as the petitioner is concerned.
