The memo so filed reads as follows: - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:16632 WP No. 14746 of 2024 "MEMO FOR WITHDRAWAL That the present writ petition has been filed challenging demand notices dated 13.07.2023 and 05.01.2024 issued by Karnataka State Pollution Control Board directing payment of Rs.4,04,10,000/- , inter alia. That, a hearing was called for by the said authorities on the aforesaid issue on 20.02.2024. Thereafter by communication dated 08.05.2024, the authorities conveyed their decision taken in the said hearing whereby they directed that an interim payment of Rs.50 Lakhs was to be made by the erstwhile occupiers (Ramson Garment Fishing Equipment Private Limited) and, in the meantime, the authorities decided to refer the matter for legal opinion internally. The said amount of Rs.50 Lakhs was subsequently deposited by the said erstwhile occupiers. That, in light of the said developments, the demand of Rs.4,04,10,000/- stands temporarily withdrawn subject to further decision by the authorities. Accordingly, the petitioner has directed its counsel to withdraw the present writ with a leave to challenge the further decisions taken by the authorities, if required."
