This Court, vide order dated 18.07.2024, passed in MCRC No. 4169 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the petitioners, namely, Sumitra Dewangan, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of 06 months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raipur District- Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 14.05.2025 has requested for grant some more time for concluding the trial. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in the present case, it should be known that in the above session case, statement of total 06 prosecution witnesses has been recorded, in which statement of 17 prosecution witnesses is still pending, for whose statement the former presiding officer and I have continuously conducted the hearing on 13/09/2024, 04/10/2024, 26/10/2024, 14/11/2024, 03/12/2024. On 23/12/2024, 09/01/2025, 16/01/2025, 01/02/2025, 17/02/2025, 06/03/2025, 25/03/2025, 05/04/2025, 26/04/2025, 12/05/2025, summons/arrest warrant has been issued through Superintendent of Police along with memorandum and the next date in the case has been fixed as 06.06.2025. Statements of 17 prosecution witnesses are yet to be recorded in the case for whose statements summons have been issued, due to this reason it is not possible to resolve the said case by the stipulated time period dated 24.05.2025. Due to this reason, it is not possible to conclude the trial within the time prescribed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of three months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
