IN THE HIGH COURT OF HIMACHAL PRADESH, SHIMLA
CWP No.14263 of 2025 Date of Decision: 4.9.2025 _______________________________________________________ Bhim Singh
…….Petitioner
Versus
State of Himachal Pradesh and Ors.
… Respondents _______________________________________________________ Coram: Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sandeep Sharma, Judge. Whether approved for reporting? 1
For the Petitioner: Mr. Ganesh Barowalia and Mr. Gambhir
Singh Chauhan, Advocates.
For the Respondents: Mr. Anup Rattan, Advocate General with Mr. Rajan Kahol, Mr. Vishal Panwar and Mr. B.C. Verma, Additional Advocates General and Mr. Ravi Chauhan, Deputy Advocate General. __________________________________________________________ Sandeep Sharma, Judge(oral):
Precisely, the grouse of the petitioner, as has been highlighted in the petition and further canvassed by learned counsel for the petitioner is that representation having been filed by the petitioner praying therein for promotion from the post of Driver (JCB) to Excavator-cum-Load Operator, is not being considered for quite long.
2.
Having regard to the nature of prayer and order proposed to be passed in the instant petition, this Court sees no necessity to call for reply from the respondents, who are otherwise represented by Mr. Vishal Panwar, learned Additional Advocate General. Mr. Panwar,
1Whether the reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment?

fairly states that petitioner has filed representation for promotion in the year 2025 and as such, it cannot be said that same is not being con- sidered. He further states that representation, if not already decided, shall be decided expeditiously.
3.
Consequently, in view of the above, this court without going into the merits of the case, deems it fit to dispose of the present petition with direction to consider and decide pending representation in case within four weeks. Ordered accordingly. Needless to say, au- thority concerned, while doing the needful in terms of instant order, shall afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and pass a speaking order. All pending applications stand disposed of according- ly.
