This Court, vide order dated 12.04.2024, passed in MCRC No. 4459 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the petitioners, namely, Bane Singh and Deepak Sen, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of 06 months from the date of receipt of a certified VAIBHAV SINGH Digitally signed by VAIBHAV SINGH Date: 2025.06.17 19:45:37 +0530 2 copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Bastar Jagdalpur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 07.05.2025 has requested for grant some more month time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in the present case, During the period of imposition of code of conduct for last year's assembly elections and Lok Sabha and Municipal body elections, till the completion of elections, summons, bailable/arrest warrants issued to prosecution witnesses were not served. Since in NDPS cases, most of the witnesses are related to the police department. An additional time limit of 06 months has been given by the Hon'ble court for resolving the matter was determined. The charge-sheet in the case was presented on 20/11/2024. Thereafter, after framing of charges in the case, the case is currently fixed for prosecution evidence. Due to this reason, it is not possible to conclude the trial within the time prescribed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of three months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
