1. The petitioner (Govind Kumar Kedia) has filed the present Writ petition with the following prayer:- (a) issue an appropriate Writ/ order/ direction seeking the Central Government to appoint a Special Judge (PMLA), Raipur, under Section 43(1) of the PMLA, so that the trial in the subject case is proceeded with and the bail application of the Petitioner is adjudicated upon expeditiously; and/or (b) in the alternative, issue an appropriate writ/
order/direction to the Additional Sessions Judge, Raipur, for proceeding with the trial in the subject case and expeditiously adjudicate the bail application preferred by the Petitioner herein; and/or (c) pass any other order/ direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of law and justice.
2. At the outset, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the notification with respect to the subject matter has already been issued by the Central Government on 24.05.2025, as such the present writ petition has become infructuous.
3. The submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner is not disputed by the counsel appearing for the State.
4. In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case, the present writ petition stands dismissed as having become infructuous.
