GUNESHWAR SHARMA Order 31.10.2025 [1] Present Ms. Achui Kamei, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mrs. RK. Emily, learned Dy. G.A. for the State respondent. [2] It is submitted that the parties have amicably settled the dispute in the mediation proceeding dated 27.10.2025. The mediation report is reproduced as: “MEDIATION REPORT Date of Report: 27.10.2025 Dates of Mediation Sessions: (i) 26.08.2025 (ii) 16.09.2025 (iii) 06.10.2025 (iv) 14.10.2025 (v) 27.10.2025 Venue of Mediation: High Court Mediation Centre, Imphal. This Report is being submitted pursuant to the referral order dated 347 of 2019, referring the matter for mediation. The mediation sessions were attended by: (i) Shri Starson, petitioner No. 1 in person along with his counsel. (ii) Shri S. Kripachariya Singh, DGM TD-IV, MSPCL (iii) Shri W. Anand Kumar Singh, DGM Legal, MSPCL. (iv) Shri L. Hemchandra Singh, LO Power for respondent No. 1 (v) Smt. Ambika L, DGM Legal, MSPDCL Nature of dispute: Compensation. Mediation Sessions were conducted on 26.08.2025, 16.09.2025, 06.10.2025, 14.10.2025 & 27.10.2025. Both parties were given full opportunity to present their issues and explore settlement possibilities. The mediation was conducted in a neutral, voluntary and confidential environment and the parties could arrive at a mutually acceptable settlement. The mediation process concluded with settlement on the following terms and conditions: I. The MSPCL will give an amount of Rs. 3,50,00/- (Rupees three lakhs fifty thousand) only as compensation/ex-gratia to the petitioner No. 1 for the injuries sustained by the petitioner No. 2. II. The said amount of Rs. 3,50,00/- (Rupees three lakhs fifty thousand) will be paid on or before 15.12.2025. III. Further the petitioner will not claim for any other relief from the MSPCL. As settlement could be reached on the aforementioned terms and conditions, the matter is being referred back to the Hon’ble High Court of Manipur for further proceedings as per law.
