1. Heard Ms. R. Choudhury, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. M. Bhattacharjee, learned Standing counsel, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department for the respondent Nos. 1 & 2. Also heard Mr. B. Sarma, learned Standing counsel, Accountant General (A&E), Assam for the respondent No.3 and Mr. R. Borpujari, learned Standing counsel, Finance Department for the respondent No. 4. 2. The father of the petitioner was serving as a Supervisor Veterinary Field Assistant (SVFA in short) in the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department (AHVD in short), who retired from service on 29.11.1976. After his retirement, his pension was sanctioned vide PPO No. 28092. Thereafter, the pensioner expired on 07.12.2004 and after his death, the family pension was granted in favour of the petitioner’s mother, namely, Hajerali Khatun; further she also died on 07.01.2017. 3. According to the petitioner, after her mother’s death, though she is pursuing for grant of the family pension, being unmarried daughter and being eligible for such pension in terms of the Rule 143(ii)(c) of the Assam Services (Pension) Rules, 1969, however, her grievance has not been redressed. 4. Mr. B. Sarma, learned Standing counsel, Accountant General (A&E), Assam submits that the Accountant General (A&E), Assam has already issued an FPPO No. 953722331780 dated 25.07.2025, on the basis of an application filed by the petitioner and therefore, there will be no difficulty in payment of pension to the petitioner, however, the same is to be paid through the jurisdictional treasury office. 5. Be that as it may, in view of the aforesaid, nothing survives to be adjudicated in

Accordingly, the same stands disposed of. 6. While parting with the records, this Court expects that the jurisdictional Treasury Officer, i.e., the Treasury Officer, Abhayapuri, shall render necessary assistance to the petitioner in getting the family pension in terms of said FPPO No. 953722331780 dated 25.07.2025 issued under the signature of Sr. Accounts Officer, Accountant General (A&E), Assam. 7. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the jurisdictional Treasury Officer, by filing a fresh representation along with a copy of this order and FPPO No. 953722331780. 8. The petitioner is also at liberty to approach the Court again, if any grievance remains. 9. Copy of the Accountant General (A&E), Assam placed before the Court today is kept on record and marked as document-X.
